17 - 25 DEC 2022 : Buenos Aires

I took the airplane from H.K. to Addis Ababa about 11 hours and after about 4 hours took the other flight to Aeropuerto Internacional de Ezeiza, Buenos Aires in Argentina.

It was my first time to watch the World Cup on the plane with others passengers of Argentina.
When I arrived the airport, I heard the shooting “Feliz Argentina” far away continually.
On 18 December 2022 was the important day to all Argentinos because Argentina won the third football world champion.
I left the airport, I saw that many people wore the selection of Argentina and some fans wore the flag at the back.
I ASSURED THAT I ARRIVED ARGENTINA

I walked to Obelisco de Buenos Aires to cerebra with the fans.

The national team returned triumphantly in following day and the airline informed all passenagers to arrive at least 5 hours in advance for handling the boarding formality.
However, the highway to airport was blocked with the fans, therefore it was the first time to walk to the airport on foot because I needed to take a flight to Calayate in the following afternoon.

I was waiting at the airport more than 3 hours from the departure time but it was too bad that my flight was cancelled and needed to book it again.

I visited Museo de Eva Perón, Recoleta Cemetery de Eva Perón.

I joined the free local tour in Buenos Aires and only pay a limited amount of tip.

I took a one-hour ferry to Uruguay.

I visited three small towns in Buenos Aires, Palermo, Balvanera & Puerto Madero

I re-booked the flight to Calafate.

I arrived at Provincial de Santa Cruz, a city called El Catafate and went to Parque Nacional Los Glaciares.

I took the boat to watch the glacier closely.

I joined half-day wildlife tour Safari in Calafate.

I joined the local tour to walk Fossil Mountain for three hours.

The day before the new year. It was my first time to step on a glacier. I wished that I have a good luck in coming new year.

1 - 7 JAN 2023 : LA SALTA & JUJUY

I returned to Buenos Aires and put down the jackets. Afterwards, all climate of all the provinces were very hot.

I took the one hour flight to Jujuy.

I arrived at La Salta in the afternoon and searched for the local excursions.

I joined the local excursion to Humahuaca which locate in the north of Argentina, bordering Chile, Paraguay and Bolivia. It took 7 hours round trip by car. In the summer time it was very hot and sunny. It is advised to paint with sun oil to prevent sunburn.

I joined another tour to Cayafate and the round trip took 6 hours by car. It is a city in the south of Salta.

I took the cable car to Salta to see the sense of the whole city.

I had a free day to walk around the city

I took a two-hour flight to Córdoba.

I took a one-hour bus to the small town called Alta Gracia, which has Guevara Museum. Guevara was born in Buenos Aires and moved to live in Córdoba because he suffered asthma, where the weather is suitable for treatment.
In the view of Argentina, Che was the doctor and cured leprosy in South America.

I took a three-hour bus to the town, called Villa General Belgrano, a German-style town.

I took an hour's bus from Córdoba to a small town, called Villa Carlos Paz. The whole town is a tourist area, where you can buy souvenirs and restaurants.

I visited La Universidad Nacional de Córdoba and it is especial in language studies.

13 - 17 JAN 2023 : Mendoza

I took a one-hour flight to Mendoza.

I participated a one-day tour to Alta Mountaña.

I joined the local tour of hiking in Cerro Buyo.

It was my first time to ride the horse and afterwards tasted red wine and attempted barbecue.

I joined the half-day tour to Bodegas and tried red wine in three different orchards. The price of wine is at average price of HK$50 very economic.

18 - 22 JAN 2023 : Bariloche

I took a flight to Bariloche and needed to transfer at Córdoba. Córdoba is in the north of Mendoza and Bariloche is in the south of Mendoza. Because Córdoba is the second largest province in Argentina, in which there are many flights, so I flew to the north and then flew back to the south.

I joined the tour to go to Circuito Chico, and mainly took the cable to the top of the mountain to see the view of lake.

I joined the local tour of hiking in Cerro Buyo.

I joined a local tour and it takes 3 hours drive to Cerro Tronador National Park.

I traveled with a local-tours for three consecutive day and that day I took a bus in the center of city and took a 40-minute drive. I arrived at a village, then started to walk 4 kilometers along the lake, and arrived at a place called Puerte Romano.

23 - 25 JAN 2023 : Misiones

In the morning, I took a early flight to Misiones and was stopover in Buenos Aires, and finally arrived to Misiones. I arrived the airport very early. After I settled down in hostel, I took a bus to Waterfall in Iguazú

I took a bus to Brazil to watch the waterfalls.

I planned to watch the waterfall in the view of Paraguay. However, it was inconvenience that it took a transfer bus and I finally gave up. I took a 15-minute taxi to the city center.

26 - 27 JAN 2023 : la plata

I flew back to Buenos Aires, the starting point of the itinerary, which meant that my trip to Argentina came to an end soon.
In the morning, I took a train to La Plata which is capital of Buenos Aires and La Plata is not a tourist zone and is a residential area. Therefore, I stayed one night only.

I stayed at Argentina about six weeks and at the last day in the morning, it rained heavily suddenly which experienced only one rainy day in Argentina.
I picked up my backpack and say “Adiós a Argentina”.
